I wrote in an earlier post, here, about the disappearance of a negative review about Homestead Heritage on TripAdvisor. I also discussed complaints about TripAdvisor removing negative reviews on other venues. I even recently discovered a story, which I think is rather humorous, about a fake profile created by an Italian newspaper "as part of an experiment to reveal alleged flaws in the rankings system which . . . leave it vulnerable to fraudulent reviews." "Within a month, the non-existent eatery was rated the best restaurant in town." (Source)
Another negative review on Homestead Heritage recently disappeared from TripAdvisor. On November 10, 2016, the following review appeared (click on the image to enlarge it):

The link to the original review shows that it no longer exists. However, on January 23, 2017, the same reviewer submitted another similar review:

It seems that the information expressed in the removed reviews is relevant enough to determine whether or not the reviewers would have visited Homestead Heritage to begin with. In fact, one person posed the question regarding the allegations about Homestead Heritage on TripAdvisor. It was a deciding factor on their decision to visit.
If you think you're getting an unbiased perspective from TripAdvisor, think again. We'll see how long this review stays up. I archived the page just in case. If the current review disappears, I'll update this post with that information and a link to the archived page.
3/22/2017 Update: If you click on the source link for the second review above you'll see it is no longer online. I suspected this would happen eventually. You can view an archive of the review here. The reviewer resubmitted her review on 3/21/2017. You can probably guess by now that it might not be up for long. Apparently Good2GoMom has the "wrong" opinion about Homestead Heritage even though she actually did visit.
